RELLNACH 2.0 – A Digital Serious Game for Transforming Switzerland’s Food System

RELLNACH 2.0 aims to transform the existing analogue serious game RELLNACH into an interactive digital platform. The game simulates the Swiss food system and allows participants to take on different stakeholder roles (e.g. policymakers, agriculture, industry, civil society) and jointly negotiate policy measures and strategic decisions. The digital version will make complex system interactions, trade-offs and feedback loops visible in real time, enabling users to explore sustainability pathways related to climate, biodiversity, health and food security. By combining game mechanics with real data and visual system feedback, the platform supports experiential learning, dialogue and collective decision-making.
